Pageant's Miraculous Journey
THIS IS THE TRUE STORY OF PAGEANT, a real life foxhound who is famous for his miraculous journey of more than 30 miles from a veterinary hospital in Thomasville, Georgia to his home at the Live Oak Kennels in Monticello, Florida. Immediately taken by truck to the hospital in a state of near collapse from exposure to Spear Grass, he was tenderly nursed back to health. Weeks into his convalescence, Pageant escaped the leash of a veterinary assistant and took off. Traveling across two four lane highways and into the deep Longleaf pine woods of South Georgia to find his way back to his owners and his fellow foxhounds, his actual route is forever unknown.
